Welcome to aboutjulie! Julius Shwarzstein z”l was my father. This site is dedicated to him.
Dad is best remembered for his gregarious personality, his interest in teaching, his love of music and his big laugh. He married twice – first to my mother Donia and, after their divorce, to Selma. As an adult I witnessed love at its purest when he was at Selma’s side.
Thankfully, his life was long and he was able to accomplish much of what he set out to do. When he passed, he did so without regrets. Dad touched many people – relatives, friends, students and strangers.
